Looking to maximise your Facebook Business Page? Of course you are. Of all the social media platforms, it is Facebook that exposes your business to the broadest audience and presents the most extensive set of business tools. We’re going to let you know how to maximise the benefits of facebook for your business and do this in a short amount of time.
Businesses have one thing in common: they all want to reach out and engage as many new clients as possible. Whichever industry your business is in, Facebook can have a positive impact on your business and can help you achieve all of your company goals. But trial and error won’t work; you need to know how to go about it if you want to make full use of it.
Most of the time, individuals will visit your business page to see your latest updates and search for important information, so you want to make sure these are filled out, corrected and updated accordingly. Select the categories and subcategories that best describe your company, include your website URL, and list your address, phone number and hours of operation (if applicable). All of this information will help your page appear in Facebook & Google searches when people are looking for companies like yours, which can increase your Facebook following even more.
This one is a no-brainer. It is important to make sure your brand’s images and captions are engaging and that they encapsulate what your company does. Keeping track of how your posts perform will allow you to know what content your community finds engaging and create more of what they like. Responding to queries will shed a positive light on your business in individuals’ eyes and reassure them that your services are not robotic. This helps improve your relationship with your customers and creates an interactive environment.

BE ACTIVE

There’s no magic number but the best practice would be to analyse what key topics/messages you would like to convey and find a schedule that works best for you. We would recommend a minimum of 2 posts per week. The current algorithm favours posts by friends and family, which is why unless you are paying for Facebook advertising, it can be hard work keeping your brand visible on your customer’s Facebook feeds. In July 2022, Sprout Social was able to make some overall conclusions from a survey they conducted regarding the optimal days and times to post on Facebook (all times refer to the Central Time Zone (CST):

INVITE YOUR EXISTING COMMUNITY

Employees, existing clients, business & industry partners make up your easily accessible community. They will probably be your first supporters and find your content interesting and shareable. Why not send a friendly personal invitation to ask them to like your business’ Facebook Page if they haven’t already? One way to do this is by simply adding a call-to-action in your email signature (i.e. “P.S. Like us on Facebook”).
Use Facebook Insights to find useful metrics on your Page performance. This tool is ideal for those who aren’t necessarily tech-savvy, and as a business owner the kind of data you can find out about your company is priceless. You can view metrics like reach, number of engaged users, audience demographics, and new Page likes. These metrics will help you understand what’s driving your likes and engagement so that you can adjust your posts accordingly.

Time to beat the algorithm

Although the constant changes to the Facebook algorithm can put brands at a disadvantage, having a strong Facebook marketing strategy and team (hint: holla at us) will help you stay on top of these updates and ensure that you’re always two steps ahead. Facebook is a powerful marketing tool that’s relatively cost-effective and should be utilised to the full, so do not waste the opportunity and be sure to get the correct guidance when setting up and maintaining your business’s Page.
